There's nothing like the energy of a group guitar class. Here, our students and a coach share a moment of camaraderie after a productive session, each holding their instrument with pride.

This young Rockstar is learning to combine singing and playing the acoustic guitar. Our classes focus on building this coordination, starting with simple strums and melodies to build a strong foundation.

A typical group guitar session at the Gurukul. You can see students at different stages of learning, all focused on their sheet music, creating a collective learning environment where everyone progresses together.

Abhishek rocks his Trinity Grade 3 Rock & Pop exam, playing classic tracks from Deep Purple and AC/DC. This performance is the result of years of dedicated practice on the electric guitar.

Here, student Taani performs a beautiful guitar instrumental of "Die with a Smile," accompanied by her coach Rishi. This duet showcases the collaborative learning process we encourage at the Gurukul.

Learning guitar requires focus. This young student is concentrating on his finger placement and strumming, working through exercises from his notebook to build muscle memory and precision.

About Guitar Rockstars: Acoustic & Electric

We keep our group guitar sessions intentionally small, with just 3-6 students, to ensure you get actual feedback on your posture and finger placement. You’re not just watching a coach play; you’re jamming in a sound-treated studio where we can actually hear what you’re doing, whether you’re struggling with a basic chord transition or perfecting a lead solo.

Our Approach to Guitar

We believe the guitar is an extension of your personality. Whether you pick up an acoustic guitar for soulful strums or an electric for high-energy rock solos, our philosophy remains the same: music requires roz ka riyaaz (daily practice). You won't find shortcuts here, but you will find a clear path to mastery.

What to Expect

Our curriculum balances technique with the songs you actually want to play. We cover fundamental theory, scales, and sight-reading while ensuring you have fun with the instrument. If you are aiming for formal recognition, we provide comprehensive preparation for Trinity College London and Rock School exams.

Performance & Growth

Music is meant to be shared. That is why our program includes regular jam sessions and, for those ready, spots at our annual concerts. We have seen students go from nervous beginners to performing challenging tracks with total confidence.

Practical Details

While you need your own guitar for home practice, we provide all the amps, leads, and professional equipment at our studios in Chembur, Wadala, and Khar. We focus on the details that matter—like helping you find the right tone or adjusting your grip so you don't tire out—to help you build a lifelong relationship with music.
