About this collection
In our classical sessions, we keep the batch sizes small, usually capped at 10 to 15 students. This isn't just about learning steps; it’s about having the physical space and the time for real-time posture correction and mastering the intricate footwork that Kathak and Bharatanatyam demand.
Whether you are looking to master the rhythmic tatkar of Kathak or the expressive mudras of Bharatanatyam, we provide a structured learning path. Our approach bridges the gap between traditional discipline and a modern, supportive studio environment.
The Learning Experience
We believe in learning without the stiffness of traditional institutions. Our curriculum focuses on:
- Technical Precision: From basic footwork to complex compositions, we focus on alignment and safety, especially since we use sprung wood floors to protect your joints.
- The "Raw Mango" Twist: We aren't just about strict drill work. We frequently host fusion workshops—like our popular Bharatanatyam-based routines on tracks like 'Aigiri Nandini' or 'Apsara Aali'—which let you express the classical style through fresh, contemporary beats.
How We Train
- Monthly Courses: Best if you want to progress. These run weekly (4-8 sessions a month) and focus on building your skill from the ground up.
- Weekend Workshops: Perfect for drop-ins. If you want to try a specific piece or just get back to the studio for a few hours, these are designed for you to walk away having completed a routine.
We operate out of studios in Koramangala and Cunningham Road. You get the benefit of a professional environment with full-length mirrors and neon aesthetics, keeping the vibe high even while you put in the hard work.
