Live Caricatures: Ink on A4 Cardstock
Execution & Output
- Duration: Up to 4 hours of continuous sketching.
- Capacity: Covers approximately 40-45 guests total (speed of 10-12 faces per hour).
- Style: Traditional hand-drawn black & white line art focusing on humorous exaggeration.
- Format: Single person per sheet (standard speed) or couples on one sheet (takes double the time).
Materials Provided
- Paper: A4 size (8.3 x 11.7 inches) thick artist cardstock (180-200 GSM).
- Medium: Professional permanent black markers with occasional accent highlights.
- Protection: Every drawing is handed to the guest in a clear plastic sleeve/cover to prevent damage.
Logistics
- Artist Brings: Professional easel (Harrison Stable 4130 or similar), drawing board, art supplies, and clip-on LED light.
- Client Provides: 3 banquet chairs and a small 6x6 feet space with access to a power point.

What I Bring to Your Event
I’m Ravi from Bangalore, and I love making people laugh with my art. Live caricature drawing is my way of adding a little masthi (fun) to your celebration. Whether it’s a wedding, office party, or birthday, I turn quick moments into memories with on-the-spot cartoon portraits.
How the Live Drawing Works
- I set up with my easel and markers in a small corner, just need a couple of chairs.
- Guests sit for about 5 minutes, and I sketch them live. Most folks tell me, “Tumba chennagide!” (It’s looking great!), and that always makes my day.
- Each drawing is a black and white, hand-drawn piece - simple, bold, and ready to take home.

My Story
Nanna hesaru Ravi. Artist from Karnataka, always doodling faces - sometimes Appu, sometimes Dr. Rajkumar, sometimes your chikkamma (aunt). Kannada roots run deep in my sketches. I love catching that surprise smile when someone sees their own cartoon. 'Eshtu cute agide idu!' (So cute, this!) - that's what I live for. Drawing is not just my job, it’s my way of celebrating our people and moments. Little magic, little fun.
