About Newborn Dreams: Your Baby's First Portraits
I intentionally keep my studio sessions unhurried because your baby’s comfort is the absolute priority. Whether we are doing a classic wrapped pose or a themed setup, I plan for plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes. This ensures the baby stays relaxed, allowing us to capture those peaceful, sleepy portraits without ever rushing the process.
Photography in the first few weeks is about more than just a setup; it is about creating a safe, calm, and soothing environment. My studios in Andheri and Thane are climate-controlled and stocked with soft wraps, heating pads, and sanitized props to ensure your little one feels secure.
My Approach to Newborn Art
I treat every session like a blank canvas. While I offer classic, timeless portraits using neutral tones and simple wraps, I also love incorporating your personal interests. If you are a fan of Harry Potter, Star Wars, or want to celebrate an Indian festival like Janmashtami with traditional props, I can style that. The key is in the details—the tiny crown on a sleeping 'king,' the handmade basket for a swing shot, or the delicate floral backdrop that highlights your baby's features.
What to Expect During the Session
- Environment: The studio is a quiet zone. I limit background noise to keep the baby in a deep sleep, which is when we get the best 'pouts' and smiles.
- Inclusions: I provide all the props, outfits, wraps, and accessories. You do not need to bring anything other than your baby and their essentials like diapers and formula or milk.
- Flexibility: Babies dictate the schedule. If your little one needs a long nap or a feeding break, we take it. There is no ticking clock on these sessions.
Preparing for Your Shoot
The best time to photograph a newborn is within the first 15 days, when they are naturally sleepier and easier to pose. I recommend booking your slot well before your due date so we can plan the themes and colours that match your vision for this first chapter of your child's life.
