Horse Riding Lessons for Families and Beginners
You don't need to be an expert to ride. From toddlers to adults, I teach horse riding basics in a safe, open environment where trust comes before any command.
Horse riding creates wonderful family memories. Here I am with my daughter on my decorated stallion, Bhairava, who is incredibly gentle with children. It shows that even the most majestic horses can be trusted companions for your little ones under my guidance.
A happy moment sharing my passion with the next generation. This is me and my daughter enjoying a calm ride on Aira in an open field. My lessons for kids focus on building confidence and having fun in a secure setting.
This is a typical first-time riding lesson for a beginner. I focus on teaching the basics of balance and control in a calm, open space. My student here is learning to guide the horse at a walking pace, building a solid foundation for future riding skills.
It is always a pleasure to see my students connect with the horses. Here, a young rider spends a moment with Aira before their lesson. I encourage all my students to build a relationship with the horses, as it is a key part of becoming a good rider.
A simple, happy ride in the field after a long time. This shows a relaxed training session, which is a core part of my horse riding classes. It is great exercise and a fantastic way to clear your mind.
About Riding for the Whole Family
Many people assume horse riding is only for professionals or the wealthy, but that is simply not the case. My sessions are designed for everyone, regardless of your background. When you come for a lesson, I first assess your comfort level and match you with a horse that suits your skill, whether you are an absolute beginner or looking to improve your control. We train on open, real-world terrain rather than confined rings, which helps you build genuine confidence in handling a horse.
My Approach to Riding
I believe riding is a skill anyone can learn if the teacher is patient. My method, 'hodiyodu badiyodu madade' (without beating), means we never use force or fear. Whether you are a parent wanting your child to experience the bond with an animal, or an adult looking for a new way to stay active, I provide the gear, the guidance, and the horses.
What to Expect
- For Kids: My horses like Bhairava are gentle and patient. I start with simple, supervised rides for children as young as 1.5 years.
- For Beginners: You will learn mounting, dismounting, and basic steering. I focus on balance and posture in a calm, open field.
- For Improvers: Once you are comfortable with the basics, we work on trotting and traffic desensitization so you can ride with confidence anywhere.
Why Train With Me
My horses are part of my family, and I treat them with the same respect I expect from you. You won't find corporate training styles here—just practical, honest coaching. I am an ISO certified trainer, and I bring that same discipline to my horse riding lessons that I use for my professional dog training work.
If you have a horse that isn't listening or behaves aggressively, I also offer residential training and behavioral rehabilitation. We can work together to get your horse back on track.
