Advanced Tricks & Mental Agility Course
Core Training Modules
- Complex Trick Training: Instruction of 5-7 advanced tricks customized to aptitude, such as "Namaste" (on hind legs), "Spin/Roll Over," "Play Dead," and "Smile."
- Functional Tasks: Training the dog to hold and carry objects (Basket holding) and retrieve specific items like newspapers or keys.
- Scent Detection: Games where the dog identifies specific objects like balls or handkerchiefs by scent among decoys.
- Distance Control: Execution of Sit, Down, and Stay commands from 10-20ft away using only voice or hand signals.
Boarding & Care
- Accommodation: 30-day stay in individual kennels with access to artificial turf training grounds.
- Diet: Standard nutritious diet provided (chicken/rice/kibble mix); owners can provide specific supplements if needed.
Handover Support
- Owner Training: 2-3 mandatory sessions to teach owners the specific hand signals and voice modulation required to trigger the tricks.
- Updates: Regular video clips sent to show learning progress.
Personal Protection & Guard Dog Training
Security & Defense Skills
- Command-Based Aggression: Teaching the "Speak" command to alert against strangers and the "Attack" command to engage a threat (arm/sleeve targeting).
- The Off-Switch: Training on the "Leave/Out" command to ensure the dog instantly disengages from a target when told by the handler.
- Handler Protection: Scenario-based training where the dog learns to position itself between the owner and a threat.
- Food Refusal: Conditioning the dog to refuse food offered by strangers or found on the ground (Poison Proofing).
Desensitization
- Noise Tolerance: Exposure to loud noises and agitation to ensure the dog remains focused under pressure.
- Restraint Training: Maintaining composure while tied or leashed until a release command is given.
Facility & Handover
- Full Boarding: 4-week residential stay included.
- Handler Transfer: Intensive sessions with the owner to ensure the dog respects the owner's command to attack and release.
KCI Show Preparation & Ring Handling
Show Ring Etiquette
- Stacking (Posture): Teaching the dog to stand still in the perfect breed-standard pose for extended periods, covering both free-stacking and hand-stacking.
- Gaiting: Training the dog to trot at the correct speed on the left side of the handler to showcase movement effectively.
- Judge Examination Prep: Desensitizing the dog to being touched by strangers, including teeth checks and muscle inspection.
Socialization & Focus
- Distraction Proofing: Training the dog to ignore other dogs and focus solely on the handler to simulate crowded show environments.
- Ring Presence: Building confidence to ensure the dog looks alert and eager in the ring.
Additional Services
- Boarding: Full residential stay included.
- Conditioning: Light exercise regimen to maintain muscle tone and ideal weight for the show ring.
