About this collection
When you are preparing for a BFA entrance, the difference between an average drawing and a selected portfolio often comes down to your grasp of composition, lighting, and medium control. We don't just teach you to draw; we focus on the technical rigour that examiners actually look for, like how you handle complex perspective in a cityscape or capture emotional depth in a portrait. Whether you are working with oils, pastels, or charcoal, our feedback sessions are about identifying where you need to push harder to ensure your portfolio stands out for the right reasons.
Technical Training and Portfolio Development
Our studio approach is designed for students who are serious about their creative trajectory, whether for hobbyist development or professional art college admission.
BFA Entrance Coaching Entrance exams for top art colleges are demanding. We focus on core competencies:
- Fundamental Skill Building: Intensive practice in object drawing, anatomy, and creative composition.
- Medium Versatility: You will train across pencils, charcoal, watercolours, and oils to ensure you are comfortable with any format the exam requires.
- Mock Assessments: We run timed mock tests to simulate exam pressure, helping you manage time and refine your technique.
Portfolio Curation Your portfolio is your primary introduction to admission boards. We help you create 15-20 original pieces that demonstrate technical range rather than simple replication. This includes:
- Original Compositions: Moving beyond copying masters to developing a unique visual language.
- Presentation: Guidance on mounting techniques and studio photography to ensure your physical and digital submissions look professional.
The Studio Environment Located in Green Park, our space offers a controlled environment for serious study. We maintain small batches of 8-10 students, which allows our instructors to provide direct, specific feedback during every session. We strip away the unnecessary noise of mass-market classes to focus on the specific techniques that help you improve, session by session.
