About Bespoke Bridal & Celebration Lehengas
My lehengas start with a 12 to 16 kali panel construction, designed to create that signature flare without feeling heavy. I personally oversee every stage, from the initial sketch that aligns your vision with the fabric, down to the two required fittings that ensure the can-can and silhouette sit perfectly against your frame.
For me, a lehenga is not just festive wear; it is a canvas for storytelling. Whether we are working with rich micro-velvets for a winter wedding reception or lightweight floral organza for a sunlit Sangeet, the focus remains on the marriage of traditional craft and contemporary comfort.
I operate out of my HSR Layout design studio in Bengaluru, where I prefer a one-on-one approach. We begin with a consultation to map out the narrative of your outfit—deciding between traditional Zardosi trellis work, delicate appliqué, or 3D embossing. I believe the back of the blouse is as vital as the front, so I dedicate equal attention to necklines, bead drops, and structural detailing.
If you are planning for a Pellikuthuru or a traditional ceremony, I often recommend mixing hand-painted Mangalagiri silks with modern cuts. For the modern bride seeking a blend of Western silhouettes and Indian artistry, my reception gowns and drape skirts utilize structured linings and horsehair braid hems, ensuring you can move with grace throughout your celebration. Everything here is handcrafted, made-to-measure, and built to honor the specific occasion you are preparing for.
