About Timeless Silk Sarees & Traditional Attire
Every silk saree carries a unique story, from the weave of the Kanjeevaram to the lustre of the zari. When I design a bespoke blouse, I study the saree border, the drape, and your jewellery choices first. My process ensures the blouse acts as a canvas, using intricate Maggam work and Zardosi to elevate the fabric rather than compete with it, resulting in a silhouette that feels weightless and custom-fitted.
The Art of the Perfect Pair
A beautiful saree is only as good as the blouse that accompanies it. In my Bangalore studio, I treat every blouse as a piece of art. Whether you are opting for a classic Kanjeevaram for your Muhurtham or a light silk drape for a pre-wedding ceremony, the balance of embroidery and fabric is vital.
My Crafting Process
- Consultation & Sketching: We begin with a conversation about your vision and the specific ceremonies you have planned. I sketch designs that highlight your features and complement the saree colour palette.
- Technique: I specialize in traditional Maggam work and Zardosi. These are not merely decorative elements but carefully placed motifs, like peacocks or narrative scenes, that add character to the garment.
- Fit & Comfort: A bridal blouse needs to last through hours of rituals. I use premium raw silk and velvet with breathable cotton lining. Every blouse is padded, and the construction includes double-check fittings to ensure the neckline and back designs sit perfectly against your skin.
Styling Your Traditional Look
When we plan your ensemble, we look at the big picture. If your saree is heavily bordered, we might suggest a blouse with detailed sleeve embroidery and a simpler back. If the saree is monochromatic, we can explore heavier narrative embroidery on the back panels. My goal is to create a look that feels both grounded in South Indian tradition and entirely contemporary in its fit. We also ensure your bespoke latkans and piping are finished with the same care as the main embroidery.
