About Live Art, Workshops & Speaking
Art That Connects
Art for me is a vinamra chitra abhivadan (humble artistic tribute) to our bharatiya aitihasik sanskriti (Indian historical culture). My real joy is sharing this journey - whether I’m painting in front of a crowd, teaching, or talking about the world of art.
Live Art in Action
Creating art in front of an audience is something else - it’s got its own vibe. I’ve done live painting demonstrations at festivals, conferences, and cultural events, sometimes finishing a whole piece in one go. I also do large-scale chalk art events, like those 4x8 ft blackboard drawings of Shivaji Maharaj and others. Sometimes I paint on-site too - at forts, old temples, or scenic spots, trying to catch the feel of the place as it happens.
Workshops That Matter
Teaching is where I find real happiness, way more than winning awards. My art technique workshops are open for art teachers, students, and anyone who’s serious about learning. We get into acrylics, watercolours, landscapes, portraits - whatever helps you grow.
Speaking from Experience
I get invited to Indian art lectures and art history talks at summits and colleges. I share my story as an artist, talk about painting great Indian personalities, and explain the techniques that guide my work.
Based in Nashik, but I travel across India and abroad for projects. If you want art that’s about connection, culture, and real stories, this is me.

My Story
Namaskar, I’m Rajesh Sawant. My Nana and my Guruvarya shaped how I see art, but my heart beats for my mom. She’s the reason I am who I am – I miss her every day. I paint to keep our aitihasik sanskriti (historical culture) alive, with portraits of Shivaji Maharaj, Prabhu Ram, and freedom fighters. Winning awards abroad is nice, but nothing beats the pride I feel as a kaladhyapak (art teacher) in Nashik, when my students shine.
My Work
Fine Art & Painting - I paint with oil, acrylic, watercolor, even chalk. Subjects? History, culture, serene landscapes, spiritual themes.
Historical & Cultural Art - My art preserves our heritage, especially with realistic portraits of Indian freedom fighters and icons like Shivaji Maharaj.
Art Teacher & Guide - Teaching art is my soul work. I guide students for competitions, organize creative events, and celebrate their success.
Live Demos & Workshops - I do live painting demonstration in Nashik and beyond, sharing acrylic landscape painting techniques at workshops and lectures.
