About Custom Fine Art & Paintings
What My Art Means To Me
My paintings are a vinamra chitra abhivadan (humble tribute) to our culture and people. Every brushstroke is my way of expressing gratitude for the stories, history, and faces that shape us. I grew up in Nashik, and that's where my passion for art started. My work is personal - I put my heart into every canvas.
What I Paint
I do custom fine art for folks across India and beyond. If you’ve got an idea in mind, I’d love to help you see it come alive.
- Portraits: Not just a pretty face - I try to catch the real soul. I’ve painted family portraits, memorials, and even some famous personalities.
- Indian heritage painting: I connect a lot with bharatiya aitihasik sanskriti (Indian historical culture). Maratha history, leaders like Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, patriotic themes - these subjects matter to me.
- Spiritual art on canvas: I paint gods like Shivaji Maharaj, Ganesha, Buddha, and scenes from Jain stories, mixing tradition with a bit of a modern twist.
- Landscapes: City scenes, holy ghats, natural places that feel alive.
How I Work
My style leans realistic, but I like experimenting with color and light. I mostly use acrylic on canvas, but I also do oils, watercolors, or even chalk for big pieces.
What Drives Me
Art is my way of saying thank you to my family, Guruvarya (teachers), and my country. Each painting is a small offering to them.

My Story
Namaskar, I’m Rajesh Sawant. My Nana and my Guruvarya shaped how I see art, but my heart beats for my mom. She’s the reason I am who I am – I miss her every day. I paint to keep our aitihasik sanskriti (historical culture) alive, with portraits of Shivaji Maharaj, Prabhu Ram, and freedom fighters. Winning awards abroad is nice, but nothing beats the pride I feel as a kaladhyapak (art teacher) in Nashik, when my students shine.
My Work
Fine Art & Painting - I paint with oil, acrylic, watercolor, even chalk. Subjects? History, culture, serene landscapes, spiritual themes.
Historical & Cultural Art - My art preserves our heritage, especially with realistic portraits of Indian freedom fighters and icons like Shivaji Maharaj.
Art Teacher & Guide - Teaching art is my soul work. I guide students for competitions, organize creative events, and celebrate their success.
Live Demos & Workshops - I do live painting demonstration in Nashik and beyond, sharing acrylic landscape painting techniques at workshops and lectures.
