About Art Education & Mentorship
I’m a Fine Artist rooted in bharatiya aitihasik sanskriti (Indian historical culture), but honestly, I get the biggest kick out of teaching. Passing on what I learnt from my Guruvarya (my father and Padma Shri Vasudevji Kamath) is sacred for me, and I try to bring the same level of dedication to every student.
Real Mentorship, Real Growth
My style is all about that Guru-Shishya (teacher-student) bond. I give you personal art mentorship, not just instructions. Your voice matters, and I’ll help you find it - whether you’re in Grade 5 or finishing your MFA.
The Inside Scoop for Competitions
Since I’ve judged at state, national, and international art competitions (like Rang De India and Malaysia International Online Juried Art Competition), I know what the judges actually want. I offer direct art competition guidance, so you can make work that stands out and tells your story. My students have bagged district-level wins and special prizes - but it’s not just about trophies, it’s about growth.
Hands-On Learning for All Ages
I run creative art workshops for school kids, college students, even other teachers. I get invited as a Special Guide to conduct hands-on sessions in schools, and my live demos are popular for showing the real process.
What to Expect
We work together, step by step. I give focused feedback, live demonstrations, and honest advice. You’ll get the support - and the push - to create your best art. If you’re serious about learning, I’m here for you.

My Story
Namaskar, I’m Rajesh Sawant. My Nana and my Guruvarya shaped how I see art, but my heart beats for my mom. She’s the reason I am who I am – I miss her every day. I paint to keep our aitihasik sanskriti (historical culture) alive, with portraits of Shivaji Maharaj, Prabhu Ram, and freedom fighters. Winning awards abroad is nice, but nothing beats the pride I feel as a kaladhyapak (art teacher) in Nashik, when my students shine.
My Work
Fine Art & Painting - I paint with oil, acrylic, watercolor, even chalk. Subjects? History, culture, serene landscapes, spiritual themes.
Historical & Cultural Art - My art preserves our heritage, especially with realistic portraits of Indian freedom fighters and icons like Shivaji Maharaj.
Art Teacher & Guide - Teaching art is my soul work. I guide students for competitions, organize creative events, and celebrate their success.
Live Demos & Workshops - I do live painting demonstration in Nashik and beyond, sharing acrylic landscape painting techniques at workshops and lectures.
