To be a champion, you have to train like one. We use intense speed skating drills and dry-land conditioning to build the power and posture required to dominate the track.

This is how we build power. Using dry-land slide boards, I guide my young skaters to perfect their form and strength. You will often hear me shouting "Innondu round!" (one more round) because we always push for more.

Building foundational skills is key. Here, my daughter practices off-skate drills that improve balance, coordination, and agility, which are crucial for performance on the rink.

In the zone. A practice session where I focus on maintaining the correct low posture for maximum speed and efficiency, a core technique we teach all our competitive skaters.

About Advanced Training for Competitions

If you are looking for easy, this program is not for you. We use drag parachutes and synthetic slide boards to build the kind of explosive power that separates podium finishers from the rest. When I shout 'Innondu round' (one more round), I expect you to push through the exhaustion because that is where the real speed is built. This is how we prepare for the state and national circuit—with real sweat, specific technique correction, and zero shortcuts.

Train Like a National Athlete

Competitive skating is about more than just having good balance. It is about understanding the mechanics of speed. In our advanced sessions, we focus on the specific technical elements that win races: the double push technique, corner crossovers, and maintaining the correct aerodynamic posture to cut through the air.

The Science of Our Drills

We do not just skate laps. We utilize specific dry-land conditioning to prepare the body for the unique demands of the rink.

  • Drag Parachutes: These are standard in our regimen to force your legs to work harder, building the explosive quad power needed for the finish line.
  • Slide Boards: We use these to train lateral movement, ensuring your form remains consistent even when you are fatigued.
  • Ice Prep: For those looking to transition, we adapt roller techniques to match ice gliding mechanics, giving you an edge in off-season training.

Where We Train in Bengaluru

Our high-performance program operates out of our rinks in Rajarajeshwari Nagar and JP Nagar. Whether you are prepping for a district event or aiming for international selection, the intensity remains the same. My wife Swathi and I ensure that every session is monitored for form and efficiency.

We train 5 to 6 days a week, and during peak season, we offer double sessions—morning fitness followed by evening technical training. If you are ready to put in the work and stop playing around, come join us at the rink.
