Clubhouse and Public Space Interior Design
In our dense urban landscape, clubhouses act as essential social anchors. We design these spaces to encourage pause, connection, and shared experience, balancing contemporary minimalism with the practical realities of community life.
Clubhouses are more than amenities; they are social anchors in urban developments. This outdoor seating area at the Elevate Clubhouse is designed to help people slow down, engage, and find moments of pause amid the pace of city life.
The Elevate Clubhouse in Gurugram is a 32,000 sq. ft. sanctuary designed to help residents reconnect. This view showcases how the architecture integrates with the landscape, creating a seamless transition from the built environment to the natural one.
On the mezzanine level of the Elevate Clubhouse, we designed this quiet seating area as part of the business center. The clean lines, natural wood chairs, and terrazzo flooring reflect a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic.
The kids' play area at the Elevate Clubhouse features cheerful wallpaper and custom wood cabinetry with integrated lighting. We added windows to what was initially a closed-off space to bring in natural light and create a bright, engaging environment.
A waiting nook on the mezzanine level, featuring a simple bench with green cushions that add a pop of color against the neutral stone wall. Every corner is designed with the same attention to detail and quiet luxury.
Art and decor add layers of meaning. This console table in the clubhouse corridor features horse-head sculptures and framed map art, creating a sophisticated vignette that enhances the spatial experience.
Another view of the kids' play area, showing the small, deep-set windows we introduced to bring in light. The space is designed to be safe, fun, and visually connected to the rest of the clubhouse.
Transitional spaces matter. The staircase at the Elevate Clubhouse is adorned with backlit, textured wall art, transforming a simple stairwell into a memorable design feature that guides movement and delights the eye.
Art and design converge at the Elevate Clubhouse. This video highlights curated sculptures and wall art, including pieces reused from a previous model apartment to carry forward a sense of brand identity and story.
The APT office in New Delhi was designed to foster collaboration and well-being. The waiting lounge features comfortable seating, abundant natural light, and greenery, creating a welcoming first impression for visitors and a relaxing break-out space for employees.
About Community & Connection: Clubhouse & Public Spaces
Designing a clubhouse goes beyond selecting finishes. We look closely at how residents move through the building, specifically in transitional zones like stairwells and elevator lobbies. By integrating art and thoughtful lighting in these overlooked areas, we transform functional passages into moments that help people slow down and reconnect with their surroundings.
In our experience, a clubhouse succeeds when it acts as an extension of the home. When designing the Elevate Clubhouse in Gurugram, we treated the 32,000 sq. ft. area not as a static amenity block, but as a living, breathing community hub.
We start by analyzing how different demographics, from young families to professionals working remotely, will inhabit the space. In the business centre, we prioritized openness, connecting it visually to the restaurant below to foster a sense of connectivity. In contrast, the kids' play area required a different logic. Here, we introduced strategic fenestrations to bring in natural light, ensuring the space felt bright and safe rather than tucked away.
Materiality plays a central role. We favor quiet luxury: natural wood, terrazzo flooring, and tactile wall finishes that age well with high foot traffic. The key is in the details, like the undulating ceiling in the elevator lobby or the specific placement of sculptures on outdoor decks. These interventions guide movement and create a rhythmic experience.
Whether it is a clubhouse, a community centre, or a public hospitality space, our approach remains anchored in human-centric design. We avoid cluttering spaces with trends, choosing instead to create durable, adaptable environments that facilitate interaction. We do not just build square footage; we design the context for community relationships to form and flourish.
