About Quilted Home Decor
You'll be working on our high-end Bernina machines, which makes getting that perfect stitch on intricate appliqué or long-arm patterns much easier. We keep our studio setup fully stocked with professional self-healing mats, rotary cutters, and steam irons so you can focus entirely on your design, not on finding tools.
From the delicate see-through effect of a Pojagi-style room divider to the bold, vibrant patterns of a monstera leaf cushion cover, quilted home decor adds a texture to your house that mass-produced items just cannot match.
We see many students come in with specific home themes in mind, and we help you pick the right weight and color of fabrics to make them work. Our sessions are hands-on, meaning you are the one doing the piecing, the cutting, and the quilting. We’ve found that the best way to learn these skills is by finishing a project, which is why we structure our workshops around creating items like table runners or cushion sets.
Whether you are using traditional indigo prints or modern silk scraps, we’re here to help you troubleshoot your stitches and ensure your finished piece looks professional, tidy, and uniquely yours. If you've never used a sewing machine, no stress—our beginners classes are designed to get you comfortable with the basics before we move on to decor-specific techniques like stipple quilting or decorative binding.
