About Featured
When you bring us your quilt top, our longarm process does more than just hold layers together; it adds the precise texture that makes your design pop. Whether you need a continuous edge-to-edge pattern for a durable utility quilt or custom ruler work to highlight intricate patchwork, we handle the technical stitching so your hard work lasts for years.
How We Finish Your Quilts
We use professional Bernina and Handi Quilter machines to ensure every project receives consistent, durable stitching. Our work falls into two main categories depending on your needs:
- Edge-to-Edge: Perfect for utility quilts, baby blankets, or daily use items. We run a single, continuous pattern across the entire quilt surface. It provides the texture and stability needed to keep the layers secure for years of washing.
- Custom Heirloom: This is for your special projects, such as memory quilts made from sarees or intricate pieced art. We use ruler work for geometric precision, stitch-in-the-ditch to define your seams, and free-motion quilting to create unique details. This approach allows us to vary the density and design to fit different blocks of your quilt.
Transforming Memories
One of our favorite things to do is create memory quilts from sentimental clothing. If you have a collection of t-shirts, baby clothes, or your mother’s sarees, we can piece them together and quilt them into something functional. We stabilize the fabric first to handle the stretch, then finish it with a strong binding. The result is a piece of history you can actually use.
Preparing for Your Appointment
We operate out of our Langford Town studio in Bengaluru and accept projects from across India. If you are dropping off a top, ensure your backing and batting are at least 4-6 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides. Not sure which pattern or thread color to pick? We have a large library of pantographs and can help you choose the best match for your specific quilt design.
