Architectural Staircases & Passageways
We treat circulation spaces as the heart of the home, transforming hallways and stairwells into sculptural centerpieces through natural light, layered materials, and art.
This sculptural staircase connects four floors, acting as the central spine of the home. Its floating design, framed by fluted wall panels and a modern chandelier, creates a sense of lightness and vertical grandeur.
A detail shot looking up the stairwell, highlighting the rich texture of the fluted wall panels, the warm wood ceiling, and the dramatic marble wall that serves as a backdrop for a cascading chandelier.
Sunlight streams into this hallway, creating a beautiful play of shadows across the geometric inlaid marble floor. The modern glass-railed staircase appears to float, enhancing the sense of light and space.
A vibrant Pichwai painting brings life and cultural richness to this corridor. We often use hallways as galleries to showcase art, transforming them from simple passages into destinations in their own right.
A long, sunlit corridor where the play of light and shadow becomes an architectural element in itself. The clean lines and polished marble floor create a serene and gallery-like passage through the home.
The entrance foyer, where a bold geometric pattern in the marble floor leads the eye towards a stunning Pichwai painting. The amber crystal chandelier and wood-paneled ceiling add layers of warmth and luxury.
Another view of the art-filled corridor, showing the beautiful contrast between the textured grey wall, the vibrant traditional art, and the sleek, modern flooring.
Looking down from the staircase landing, this view captures the double-height windows and the seamless flow of space. The glass railings ensure that views and light are unobstructed.
The geometric patterns of the marble floor are highlighted by the strong afternoon sun. We use flooring not just as a surface, but as a design element to create rhythm and visual interest.

About Architectural Details: Staircases & Passageways
We view staircases as the spine of the residence rather than simple utility. By layering fluted wooden panels and geometric marble flooring, we ensure every transition between rooms becomes a deliberate architectural moment.
When we design circulation spaces, our goal is to eliminate the concept of wasted space. A hallway should not just connect two rooms; it should stand as a distinct area of interest. In our Chhattarpur farm project, for instance, we used strong sunlight and geometric marble flooring to create a rhythmic path that changes with the time of day. We integrate art, such as original Pichwai paintings or organic driftwood sculptures, to give these passages a gallery-like atmosphere.
The structural side of our work focuses on weight and lightness. Floating staircases, supported by metal spines or glass railings, allow light to flow through the center of the home. This transparency is crucial in double-height living areas, where we aim to maintain unobstructed views while ensuring the structure feels solid and grounded. We obsess over the tactile details—the grain of a wood-paneled ceiling or the smoothness of stone underfoot—because these are the surfaces you touch as you move through your daily life. Whether we are planning for a multi-generational home in Delhi or a holiday retreat in the Himalayas, the flow of movement remains our priority.
