Bodyweight & Yoga Training for Core Strength
You don't need a heavy rack of weights to get strong. I use yoga asanas and bodyweight movements to build serious core power, balance, and stability.
Holding the Chaturanga Dandasana pose. This yoga asana is excellent for building strength in the arms, shoulders, and core muscles while also improving focus and stability. It is all about control.
Performing Navasana, or the Boat Pose. This is a challenging but highly effective exercise for strengthening the deep core muscles, hip flexors, and spine, which improves overall stability.
About Bodyweight & Yoga Training
It is not just about holding a pose or doing a rep; it is about how you do it. I watch your alignment to ensure you are firing the right muscles, like engaging your deep core during Navasana rather than straining your lower back, so every movement you make builds actual strength.
Training with Science and Tradition
Fitness is simple if you put in the work. Whether we are doing Chaturanga Dandasana or basic calisthenics, my approach remains the same: I break down the biomechanics. When you hold a pose, you need to know why you are doing it. Are you targeting the pectoralis major, or are you looking for stability in the serratus anterior? Understanding this changes everything.
Why Bodyweight and Yoga?
- Core Stability: We move beyond standard crunches. Navasana (Boat Pose) is a gold standard for hip flexor strength and deep abdominal control. If you cannot hold it with proper form, we scale it until you can.
- Functional Strength: Chaturanga isn't just a yoga hold. It is a full-body engagement that builds tricep endurance and shoulder stability, which translates directly to your push movements in the gym.
- Injury Prevention: Many people hurt themselves by rushing. I focus on joint angles and posture first. If your form is off, we stop and correct it before we add volume.
The 'Desi' Advantage
I believe in science, but I also respect the old ways. My sessions incorporate functional mobility that reminds me of traditional training. We build strength that lasts—the kind that helps you in the gym, on the mat, and in daily life.
