Family Portraits in Bangalore: Artfully Captured Moments
My work focuses on preserving the quiet, fleeting connections that define your family. These are not just photographs, but fragments of your story, crafted with a vintage soul and a painterly touch.
This is the kind of magic I live to capture. A quiet moment between a mother and her daughter in a field of flowers, where the world fades away and only their connection remains. This is what I mean when I say I want to create a poem about your family.
In the studio, we can create something truly timeless, like a classic painting. This portrait of Petra and her daughter Maja has a quiet strength and complexity that I find so beautiful. It’s a testament to the evolving, magnetic bond between a mother and her daughter.
I love capturing the wild, wonderful chaos of childhood. These are the real, in-between moments: the explorations, the discoveries, and the pure joy of being a kid. This is a page from their storybook, a memory of a day spent climbing trees and searching for monkeys.
A family portrait shouldn't just be about posing. It should be about feeling. The laughter, the lift, the look of pure happiness on everyone's faces. This is what we create together: not just a picture, but a feeling you can return to again and again.
My storybook sessions are where we bring a little fantasy to life. With a few carefully chosen props, like this glowing book, we can create a world of wonder for your children to explore together, capturing the magic of their shared imagination.
Maternity is a story of anticipation and love. This portrait, with a mother-to-be and her firstborn, is so special to me. It captures the tender connection and the family's excitement for the new chapter ahead, all wrapped in the timeless elegance of a saree.
Sometimes, a picture speaks loudest without color. A black and white portrait has a classic, timeless appeal that I adore. It strips away everything but the emotion, creating a powerful image of the connection between two people.
About this collection
Every image here reflects my hand-painted editing process. I do not deliver raw files because the work is not complete until I have applied the textures and lighting that create the depth and mood you see on this page.
I choose these images because they represent the essence of my practice. Some were taken in the controlled environment of my Whitefield studio, where I use Rembrandt-style lighting to create a classic, painting-like effect. Others were captured during golden hour in the outskirts of Bangalore, where the focus is entirely on natural movement and connection.
Whether it is the quiet intensity of a mother and child or the playful chaos of childhood, my approach remains the same. I look for the in-between moments, the glance, the grip of a hand, or the messy hair, rather than the posed smile. When you step into a session with me, you are not just getting a photographer. You are collaborating with someone who treats every frame as a piece of art. This means I guide the styling and the composition, but the emotion must come from you. I take care of every detail, from the color grading to the subtle overlays that give my work its vintage, storybook quality.
