About this collection
My Christmas sets are not about stiff posing or generic backdrops. I build a little world in my Whitefield studio—complete with rotary telephones, vintage suitcases, and glowing storybooks—specifically to get your children interacting and exploring so I can capture their genuine curiosity, not just a forced smile.
Building a Story, Not a Backdrop
When I design these sessions, I think back to my own childhood holidays. I want your images to feel like a classic painting, something you would keep on the mantle for decades rather than just a photo to post and forget. Every prop I use—from the red velvet dress to the antique rocking horse—has a reason for being there. It provides a tactile element that draws your children into the scene, letting them play and discover while I wait for that perfect, quiet expression.
The Whitefield Studio Experience
These sessions take place in my dedicated studio space in Whitefield. Because I limit the number of sessions I take on, the environment remains calm and warm, away from the chaos of a busy studio. This setting allows us to control the light perfectly, aiming for that dramatic, Rembrandt-style look that gives my work its painterly finish. We usually spend about two hours, which gives us enough time for children to warm up to the space and for the whole family to settle into the moment.
My Approach to Your Memories
I do not offer raw files, and there is a reason for that. To me, a photograph is only halfway finished when it leaves the camera. My work truly comes to life in the editing room, where I apply the texture, the mood, and the warm, golden tones that define my style. You will receive a set of fully finished, high-resolution digital portraits that are ready to print, share, and hold onto.
If you want a holiday portrait that feels authentic to your family's connection, I would love to create that story with you.
Sinjita
I’m Sinjita. I spend weeks scouting for the right antique props—like a rotary telephone or vintage storybooks—because I want your Christmas portraits to feel like a classic painting, not a staged holiday photo. It is about creating a quiet, magical space in my Whitefield studio where your children can simply be themselves, and we can freeze that fleeting, innocent wonder of the season.
