Artistic Dance Performances and Jazz Showcases
A glimpse into my journey on stage where movement meets storytelling. These moments are where I share my art and find my truth.
Taking a bow after a performance. This moment captures the connection with the audience and the culmination of weeks of practice and artistic exploration.
A dramatic moment from a solo piece, using a Rajasthani fabric to create shapes and shadows. This performance blends my cultural roots with contemporary jazz movement.
A dynamic shot capturing the energy of a spin. The use of fabric and lighting creates a powerful visual story on stage.
An expressive still from my "Soulo 12" performance. The dramatic lighting highlights the emotion and storytelling conveyed through facial expression and body language.
A moment of quiet intensity on stage. This image shows how stillness can be just as powerful as movement in a performance, a concept we explore in my classes.
A behind the scenes moment from a production. The dramatic lighting and pose capture the anticipation and focus right before stepping into the spotlight.
About On Stage: Performances & Showcases
Performing live, whether at Dside or in larger productions, is my way of living the stories I teach. It is not just about the choreography, but how I use fabric and light to create a mood, or how I hold a simple, quiet pose to build connection. This is the same approach I bring to class, where we move past the steps to focus on the feeling behind every turn.
My journey on stage has been a process of learning to show up. From the Soulo 12 performance to the mentorship I received under Ragini Bhajanka, each event has taught me that the spotlight is merely a place to practice what we do in the studio every day.
Stage presence is not a talent you are born with. It is a result of consistent practice. In my classes, we deconstruct the elements of a performance. We work on isolations for ribcage and head control, drills for turns, and the discipline of staying present in the music.
When you look at these images, you see the outcome. But the real work happens in our 60 to 90 minute sessions where we focus on technique, conditioning, and the 'vishvaas' to let go. If you are a beginner looking to find your rhythm, or someone wanting to refine their jazz fundamentals, these sessions are designed to build your base while helping you find your own story in the movement.
