About Spoken Word & Literary Events
What We’re All About
At Poets of Bangalore, we’ve built our community around words, stories, and the feeling of ghar ki baat (home vibes). Every gathering is less about fancy events and more about real connections. If you’ve got stories, poems, or just want to listen, you’ll find your spot here.
How Our Events Happen
- We host a bunch of different meetups - some are chill Sunday open mics in local cafes, some are online for folks outside Bangalore.
- Our community open mic nights are for anyone: you can read, perform, or just sit back and soak it in.
- Sometimes we throw themed literary storytelling sessions like “Second Chances” or “Love Without Labels”, but honestly, you can share anything that’s on your mind.
- Our Kavi Mane Utsav is a full-day, homely festival – book swaps, Haiku corners, collaborative writing, even poem games. It’s less about performing, more about connecting.
Who Finds a Home Here
Everyone’s welcome. Whether you write for yourself, scribble on napkins, or just want to hear what others have to say, pull up a chair. No labels, no pressure. You’ll find all sorts – seasoned poets, first-timers, even folks launching their books.
The Vibe
Warm, a little messy, super cozy. We don’t do judgment. You’ll find kindness, respect, and lots of chai-fueled chats. If you want a place where voices matter, come through.

My Story
We’re Prudhvi and thealphabetalchemist, the faces behind Poets of Bangalore. Words are our jam - the messy, honest ones that don’t care for perfection. Started as a bunch of folks craving real connection, not some big event biz. We wanted a ghar (home), where poetry and community feed your soul. Coffee, laughter, shy first-timers, bold voices - all belong. We just keep the door open for magic. Dreams, no backseat here.
My Work
Poetry & Storytelling Events - We host open mics, author readings, featured acts, plus our own Kavi Mane Utsav poetry festival.
