About Kavi Mane Utsav: Our Homely Poetry Festival
Unlike standard open mics, Kavi Mane Utsav is a full-day immersive retreat designed to slow the pace of life down. You won't just stand on a stage; you will spend the day in a traditional heritage bungalow with floor seating, engaging in haiku writing, book swaps, and collaborative storytelling over high tea. It is an unhurried space where the focus is on meaningful connection rather than performance pressure.
A Home for Your Verses
We believe that poetry needs a space to breathe, and that is why we created Kavi Mane Utsav. It is not just another event on the calendar. We take over heritage homes in Bangalore to create a temporary 'ghar' (home) where the focus shifts from being seen to being heard. The setting is key to the experience—we use traditional decor, floor cushions, and ambient lighting to ensure that whether you are a seasoned poet or a quiet reader, you feel completely at ease.
