Magical Maldives Diving Expeditions
From heart-pounding shark encounters at Maya Thila to the eerie history of Gaafaru shipwrecks, explore the underwater worlds we access on our curated Maldives expeditions.
This is the moment every diver dreams of. A majestic tiger shark glides past, curious and powerful. On our expeditions, we put you in the front row for safe, respectful, and truly awe-inspiring encounters with the ocean's top predators.
Swimming alongside a whale shark, the largest fish in the sea, is a humbling and magical experience. We know the best spots in the Maldives to find these gentle giants, offering chances to snorkel or dive with them as they feed.
Imagine descending into a world filled with hundreds of stingrays. This is not a rare sight on our trips; it's a jaw-dropping reality at one of our special dive sites, where rays gather in massive numbers.
A graceful manta ray performs an underwater ballet. We frequent known manta cleaning stations and feeding grounds, giving you the chance to witness these intelligent creatures up close as they interact with the reef and our divers.
The ocean holds many secrets, and we love exploring them. This view from inside a sunken vessel at Gaafaru atoll shows how shipwrecks become thriving artificial reefs, offering a unique blend of history and marine biology on our wreck diving trips.
The reefs in the Maldives are bursting with color. Here, a massive school of blue-striped snappers creates a vibrant yellow cloud over the coral, a perfect example of the healthy and dense fish populations you will dive amongst.
This is the liveaboard life. Our anniversary special trip combines thrilling dives with the comfort and luxury of a modern yacht. We handle all the logistics so you can simply eat, sleep, dive, and repeat in paradise.
Diving is better with friends! A huge part of our expeditions is the community you build. Here's one of our happy groups soaking in the Maldivian blues after a fantastic day of diving.
About Featured
When we plan these trips, we prioritize the 'eat, sleep, dive' rhythm that only liveaboards offer. By living on the boat, we eliminate the commute to the best dive sites in the Ari and Vaavu Atolls, allowing us to hit the water at dawn for predator action before the day-trippers arrive. This schedule means you get up to four dives a day, including night dives, without ever setting foot back on a beach until the trip ends.
Our Maldives Dive Playground
We focus our expeditions on areas that offer the highest probability for big pelagic sightings. Ari and Vaavu Atolls are legendary in the diving community, not just for the density of marine life but for the sheer variety of habitats we visit. We guide you through current-swept channels where reef sharks hunt, and we take you to cleaning stations where mantas congregate in the early morning.
The Wreck Graveyard
For those drawn to history as much as marine biology, our Gaafaru itineraries are a primary focus. These wrecks have transformed into artificial reefs over decades. You are not just looking at a sunken ship; you are swimming through a structure that now supports schools of snapper, resident groupers, and complex coral growth. It is a completely different style of diving compared to the open-ocean drifts.
Safety and Logistics
We operate with a PADI-certified team, maintaining a guide-to-diver ratio of approximately 1:5. This is non-negotiable for us. Whether you are a recreational diver or working toward technical certifications, our team manages the technical side—tank fills, gear logistics on the dhoni, and daily briefings—so you can focus on your buoyancy and your camera. We provide 12L aluminum tanks and weights on all trips. While we supply the heavy infrastructure, we ask that you bring your personal gear like BCDs and regulators to ensure you are diving with equipment you are comfortable and familiar with.
Planet Scuba
We are Planet Scuba India, and seventeen years later, we still get that same rush every time we hit the water. We built this company to create a community for Indian divers, whether you are chasing big pelagics in the Maldives or just finding your fins for the first time. We handle the gear, the logistics, and the guides so you can dive without a worry.
