You know what I really needed when I started this business? Someone who told me the truth. I'm starting a new series to share the real lessons of building a business, to help others feel a little less alone.
We've always been 'Purely Eggless', but we recently had to remove the '100%' from our branding due to a change in FSSAI law. Here's a quick story about why transparency and compliance are so important.

People often ask why I don't automate the entire bakery. The truth is, I personally taste every single new product batch before it gets the green light. If it’s not something I’d proudly serve at my own table, it never makes it to the store. It’s not just about selling sweets; it’s about ensuring that every order, whether it's a single cupcake or a birthday cake, carries the exact level of care I promised when we started in 2013.
Building Pink Box wasn't a straight path. It started with my mom and me back in 2013—two people with a love for baking and zero fancy training. Over the last decade, we have navigated the chaotic, real-world side of running a food business: from shifting FSSAI regulations on eggless claims to the daily hustle of managing teams across our outlets in Delhi NCR.
I believe the best lessons happen in the kitchen, not in a boardroom. That is why I share these behind-the-scenes stories—not to teach, but to help. Whether you are a fellow entrepreneur dealing with a tough customer, or a customer just wondering why we do things a certain way, it's all part of the process.
