Sometimes I forget I own the place. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day operations, but these moments remind me to take a step back and smile at the beautiful chaos we've created.
When you're wearing a branded pink polo shirt, packing a pink box, in a pink store, but someone still asks if you work here. Just another day at the office.
When the boss is in boss mode, everyone gets to work. A little motivation to make sure we're not getting paid to sit for free. It's all part of the daily hustle.
We serve our desserts with a side of drama. At Pink Box, there's always something going on, and my team knows how to stay busy and entertained.
That feeling when you know the manager is watching. Our CCTV camera is our most effective supervisor. We love our job, really.
We get some interesting requests from clients. An "iced hot chocolate" is definitely a new one for us. We always try our best to be patient and helpful, even when the orders are confusing.
The best part of a slow period at the bakery? Finally getting to finish the stories we started telling each other five hours ago. It's these little moments that make us a team.
When a customer asks for some "tea," you have to clarify if they mean the drink or the gossip. We're thinking about adding chai to our menu, what do you think?
You can't take the Punjabi out of the owner. Sometimes you just have to do a little 'Balle Balle', even when a customer is ordering. It keeps the energy high.
A little sales tactic from our staff: "Did you know cheesecake is good for a headache?" We can't guarantee it's medically proven, but we're pretty sure it helps.
