About Wild & Whiskered: Outdoor Adventures
I don't expect your dog to sit perfectly for 90 minutes. In fact, I prefer it when they’re running, sniffing, and causing a little chaos. We’ll spend the session using high-value treats and squeakers to get that perfect shot without ever forcing a pose, ensuring your pet is relaxed and acting like their true self.
Why go outdoors?
There is a specific kind of magic that happens when a pet is in their element. Whether it’s a park, a beach, or a dirt path they love to explore, the outdoors offers something a studio just can't: freedom. This is where we capture the 'zoomies,' the curious head tilts, and the pure, unadulterated joy of a dog or cat truly being themselves.
The process
Every outdoor session is a 90-minute adventure. We don’t rush. If your pet needs ten minutes to sniff around and get comfortable with me (and my camera), that’s time well spent. I come prepared with squeakers and treats, and I’m more than willing to crawl on the ground or squat for hours to get an angle that shows your pet's personality.
My technical approach
I know the biggest worry for pet parents is the leash. Don’t worry about it. I capture the moments with the leash on, and during post-processing, I digitally remove it so the final images show your pet looking like they are wandering free. We focus on the 'Golden Hour' whenever possible—that soft, dreamy light in the early morning or late afternoon that makes every portrait look effortless.
Can my reactive pet join?
Absolutely. If your pet gets nervous around strangers or other dogs, we plan our location and timing to keep them away from crowds. I’ve worked with plenty of shy, anxious, and high-energy pets, and the goal is always to keep the experience stress-free for them and for you.

I’m Vaijayanthi. I didn't plan on being a photographer, but chasing dogs around with a camera turned out to be the best career change of my life. If you’re worried your pet is too 'wild' for a photoshoot, you’re looking at the right person—my favorite shots are the ones where they’re fully in their element.
