When you see me on a shoot, I am usually on the floor, getting on eye level with your doggo to earn their trust. My process isn't about perfect angles; it's about patience. Whether I am waiting for a shy Indie to take a treat or dodging cake frosting during a birthday smash, I let your pet set the pace so we catch those real, unposed moments that actually feel like you.
How We Make the Magic Happen
I’ve spent years photographing pets, and if there is one thing I have learned, it is that they cannot be forced. My approach is rooted in letting the pet lead. If your pup is anxious, we take a break. If they are in a mood to run, we run with them.
The Process:
- Building Rapport: For shy rescues, like the Indies I frequently work with, the first fifteen minutes are just for us to hang out. No cameras, no pressure. Just sniffing, treats, and trust.
- Embracing the Mess: Whether it's a 'Cake Smash' birthday party or a casual home session, spills and slobber are welcome. That is where the laughter comes from.
- Capturing the Bond: My goal is to capture the unspoken conversations you have with your senior dog or the curious look of a kitten seeing the world for the first time.
