Capturing the Unspoken Bond with Your Pet
Sometimes the most beautiful stories are told in silence. I specialize in capturing the quiet, soulful gaze and gentle cuddles that define your relationship with your pet.
Some called it fate, some called it destiny. All I know is that it was meant to be. This photo captures the deep, peaceful connection between a woman and her dog, Prancer. It's a moment of pure love and gratitude.
This is Choco, a survivor with the kindest soul. Despite a traumatic past, all she wants is love. This photo of her shyly covering her face captures her vulnerability and the trust she is learning to give. It's an honor to tell her story.
A paw on a hand, a gentle sniff. This close-up from Noor's Gotcha Day shoot is a beautiful symbol of the trust and connection between a rescue dog and her new family. It's the little details that tell the biggest stories.
SQUISHHYYYYYYY! There's nothing like the feeling of cuddling your pet's cute face. After taking some time to get comfortable with the camera, Zoey the Cocker Spaniel let us in for all the squishes and cuddles.
A quiet moment of reflection during a maternity shoot. Hugo the Golden Retriever rests his head, his soulful eyes showing a deep understanding. These are the moments that truly capture the bond you share.
A quiet cuddle on the grass. This overhead shot from Bruno's 10th birthday shoot captures the simple, profound love between a woman and her senior dog.
A happy cuddle with Theo the Beagle on his 9th birthday. The joy and comfort in this moment are what pet ownership is all about.
About this collection
I adjust my entire pace for these sessions, intentionally leaving the camera down until your pet settles into their most comfortable spot. Whether it is resting their chin on your knee or that specific way they watch you across the room, I wait for those soft, unscripted moments rather than asking you to look at the lens.
When you and your pet are just existing in the same space, that is where the magic happens. These sessions are the complete opposite of a traditional portrait shoot. We do not worry about lighting grids or making sure everyone is looking at the camera. Instead, we focus on the rhythm of your day at home or in a quiet, familiar park.
I find that pets, especially seniors or those who have been rescued, reveal their true characters when they are allowed to take the lead. This might mean sitting on the grass while your dog investigates a scent, or simply curling up on the sofa together for an hour. My job is to blend into the background, watching for the subtle shifts in expression, the soft lean of a body, or that intense, intelligent gaze that only you understand.
These images are not about matching outfits or perfect settings. They are about the history you share, the trust you have built, and the quiet contentment of simply being together. If you are worried about your pet not listening or being too shy, that is exactly why I work this way. We wait, we let them get comfortable, and we capture the bond that exists when the world falls away.

Hi, I am Prathima. When I am not howling with a Husky or chasing a pup, I am waiting for that one soft look between you and your pet. I do not believe in forced poses, I am just here to witness the love and catch it before it drifts away.
