At Papagoya, we believe childhood is not a race. Our full-day kindergarten in Frazer Town and Cambridge Layout swaps rote learning for unhurried days, where children explore themes and build independence at their own pace.

Discover the magic of a full day of play. Our unhurried, full-day kindergarten program is designed to give children the time they need to dive deep into their interests, build strong friendships, and grow at their own pace.

Unhurried learning is a cornerstone of our philosophy. With a full day, there is plenty of time for both structured activities and the unstructured free play that is so vital for building confidence and independence.

Our full-day program allows for strong social skill development. With more time together, children have lots of opportunities to explore different kinds of play with different groups, learning to cooperate, negotiate, and build lasting friendships.

Independence is built through practice. The routines of our full-day program, from mealtimes to tidying up, provide countless moments for children to practice doing things for themselves, fostering a sense of competence and self-reliance.

More time means more time in nature. Our children spend their days climbing trees, collecting seeds, and observing the creepy crawlies in our garden. This connection to the natural world is essential for their development and wellbeing.

With more time in the day, children can delve deeper into topics that fascinate them. Whether it's dinosaurs or the solar system, our thematic learning approach allows their understanding of the world to grow richer and more nuanced.

As part of our dinosaur theme, one of our Playmakers created this incredible dinosaur headgear from recycled cardboard. The children love wearing it, instantly transforming into roaring prehistoric creatures and bringing their imaginative play to life.

About this collection

One thing parents often notice first is that there are no nannies here. Whether it is lunch, bathroom assistance, or tidying up a classroom, our Playmakers handle it all. By removing the boundary between care and education, we ensure every moment—even a simple meal or a messy art project—is an opportunity for a child to feel seen, heard, and supported by a qualified educator.

Our kindergarten program, available at our Frazer Town and Cambridge Layout campuses, follows the Scandinavian model of early childhood education. We intentionally keep our days unhurried, creating a rhythm that allows children to move away from rigid schedules and toward deep, meaningful exploration.

Why We Choose This Approach

Many systems focus on outputs—finishing the book, writing the letters, checking the boxes. We focus on the process. When a child decides to spend two hours building a cardboard fort, we don’t interrupt them to start a worksheet. That fort is an engineering project, a lesson in geometry, and a negotiation in social dynamics all at once.

The Role of Our Playmakers

We call our educators Playmakers because they are active participants in the learning, not just supervisors. With a staff-to-child ratio of 1:4 (ages 1-3) and 1:7 (ages 3-6), our team has the capacity to be fully present. Because our educators manage every aspect of the day, they know which child is struggling with a zipper, who needs help expressing frustration, and who is ready to take the next step in a project.

A Day at Papagoya

Our full-day program runs year-round from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The day is designed around child-led discovery and project-based learning. You might find our kindergarteners interviewing a local expert, extracting natural dyes from vegetables for a festival celebration, or engaging in pretend play that turns a corner of the room into a science lab or a hospital.

We provide organic meals and snacks, and because we believe learning shouldn't stop at the classroom door, we frequently integrate local excursions and guest visitors into our thematic units. We are building a space where your child feels safe enough to be themselves, loud and proud.

Papagoya

Parent-Toddler program at DomlurStarting ₹30,000 per 12-week term

We started Papagoya because we saw how much children thrive when we stop rushing them. Our team of Playmakers focuses on the little things—like singing in different languages or turning a cardboard box into a dinosaur—because we know that is where the real learning happens.
