Live Performances, Theatrical Keynotes, and Storytelling

Every stage is a conversation, whether in a large concert hall or an intimate gathering. My work blends music, theatre, and storytelling to create shared moments that resonate.

This poster announced my concert 'Udho Udho: Our Gods and Us' for the 62nd Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava. This musical exploration of folk deities was the result of three months of intense research, preparation, and rehearsals.

A list of my concert dates from a busy September. I am fortunate to perform in various formats, from large orchestral Bhavageethe concerts to intimate shows like 'Songfarers at Sea' with my dear friends Vedanth Bharadwaj and Bindhumalini.

The announcement for 'Songfarers', a genre bending performance with Bindhumalini and Vedanth. In this set, we use songs and stories to navigate themes of loss, hope, and the future we want to sail towards.

My artist badge for the NLighten conference in Kochi, where we premiered our new show, 'Cartography'. This conceptual piece was a collaboration with the brilliant Vishnu R on composition and Abhishek Majumdar on dramaturgy.

The event schedule showing our musical keynote performance of 'Cartography' at the NLighten conference. Presenting a new and experimental work to a discerning audience is always a thrilling experience.

The audience at the premiere of 'Cartography' in Kochi. It was a privilege to perform in such a large and receptive hall, sharing a piece that was conceptualized and composed with so much care.

About this collection

A performance isn't just about me standing under a spotlight. It is months of research, band rehearsals, and finding the right rhythm with my team. Before we step onto the stage, we ensure every detail—from the sound balance to the narrative flow—is in place to make our time together meaningful.

My Approach to the Stage

I view every engagement as a kalatmaka jawabdari (artistic responsibility). Whether I am performing a musical keynote like 'Cartography' at a conference or sharing folk stories at a festival, the goal is to bridge the gap between art and the audience. My shows are never solo acts; they are the result of deep collaboration with a team of wonderful musicians who bring their own magic to the soundscape.

Types of Performances

  • Musical Keynotes: I combine theatre and storytelling with corporate strategy. These performances are tailored for conferences and leadership events where you want to engage audiences through music and metaphor, not just slides.
  • Concerts & Festivals: From traditional Sugama Sangeetha to experimental fusion, these sets are designed to explore themes like loss, hope, and community. We travel across India to bring these stories to life.
  • Intimate Gatherings: Sometimes, the most powerful moments happen when the audience is sitting close, and the performance feels more like a shared meditation than a formal concert.

Technical & Logistical Needs

To ensure the best experience, we keep the setup relatively simple, though sound is paramount. For most performances, I require two vocal microphones, one instrument mic for my harmonium, and stage monitors. A chair or diwan setup works best for my style, allowing me to move naturally between singing and storytelling. We arrive 45 minutes early for sound checks to ensure the acoustics of your venue are perfectly balanced.
