I bring the concert to your living room. My home gatherings are about simple, soulful music, shared stories, and catching every smile in the room.

What an honour to host a gathering of artists from Studio Kalavistaara in my own home for chai and conversation. These intimate settings are where the most beautiful connections are made through art.

A beautiful, warm gesture from the Manganiyars, filling a home with their incredible music. These are the moments I live for, where music transcends language and brings people together in a shared space.

A 'Threshold' session in Panchagani, filled with music, poetry, and conversations. You can see the informal, relaxed setup with instruments and artists ready to share, which is the essence of a private gathering.

Performing with my dear friend Bindhumalini at a 'Threshold' event. We often perform as a duo, blending our voices and instruments to create a unique sound for private and community events.

Rehearsing for 'Weaving Voices' in a cozy, informal setting. This is how the magic begins, with artists coming together to create something special, a process I can bring to your own private event.

Addressing the audience during an intimate performance at Panchagani. I love to chat about the songs and poems, making the concert an interactive dialogue between me, the music, and you.

This poster is for 'Desdemona Roopakam', a chamber opera we performed as part of a Home Kutcheri series. It shows how we can adapt even theatrical performances for a powerful, close-up experience in a home setting.

About Home Concerts & Intimate Gatherings

For a Home Kacheri or intimate gathering, I prefer a floor-seating baithak style to keep the connection with you and your guests as close as possible. My team and I bring a portable sound system that fits easily into living rooms, so you do not need to worry about heavy technical setup—we focus entirely on the music and the conversation.

When I perform in a home, the goal is not just a concert; it is ondhu sanje, haadu, harate (an evening of songs and chats). I mix Kannada Bhavageethe, folk songs, and ancient poetry with modern fusion. It is as much about the stories behind the songs as the melody itself.

I rarely work alone. Depending on the space and the vibe you want, I will bring one or two collaborators, such as a tabla player or percussionist, to build that layered, resonant sound. Whether you are hosting a milestone birthday, a quiet anniversary, or a community get-together, the setup remains flexible.

We arrive 45-60 minutes before the event for a quick sound check to ensure everything balances perfectly with your home's acoustics. Because these are intimate settings, I love keeping the interaction open—taking requests, sharing anecdotes, and even leaving time for a chat after the music ends. It is not about a stage; it is about sharing art in a space that feels like yours.
