We believe stories don't end when the book closes. Here, children turn the lessons they've just heard into their own masterpieces through crafts, painting, and sensory play.

Look at these beautiful paper flowers. After a story about a giant's garden, each child crafted their own flower to take home, a lovely reminder of the tale.

So much pride and joy. The children are thrilled to show off the bookmarks they created after a story about friendship, each one uniquely decorated.

After learning about chameleons, the children created their own colorful chameleon crafts. This activity helps reinforce the story's theme of being happy with who you are.

The children proudly present their ant queen drawings. This craft activity followed a story about good manners and keeping promises, with each child coloring their own royal ant.

A beautiful mess of creativity. After a story about the life cycle of a butterfly, the children made their own colorful butterfly paintings using a fun, hands-on technique.

Children and parents work together on a drawing activity after a story about sea animals. Our workshops are a great opportunity for family bonding and collaborative creativity.

A closer look at the children engrossed in their drawings. We provide wooden lap boards to make it easy and comfortable for them to create their art on the floor.

A wide view of our craft session, showing a full room of families engaged in making things together. The atmosphere is relaxed, creative, and communal.

A candid moment during a craft activity, with parents helping their little ones. We believe in learning together as a community.

Holiday crafting is always a favorite. Here, children proudly hold up the Christmas tree crafts they made after our special festive story session.

About Hands-On Creative Workshops

When we finish a story, we don't just pack the books away. We bring out wooden lap boards and set up paints, paper, or clay right on the floor where we were just sitting. Whether it is crafting paper flowers after a garden tale or dot-painting after an adventure, these hands-on sessions turn every lesson into a tangible memory your child can take home.

Our workshops are a direct extension of our storytelling sessions. We believe that when a child connects a story to a physical activity, the life lesson—whether it is about friendship, honesty, or courage—sinks in a little deeper.

We keep things simple and sensory. You might find us making masks, creating dot art, or doing handprint paintings that get a little messy. That is the point. We want children to focus on the process of creating rather than achieving a perfect result. Parents are always welcome to join in, sit on the floor, and work alongside their little ones, turning these workshops into a bonding experience rather than a drop-off class.

The space in our Rustam Bagh library is designed specifically for this flow. We have bean bags for the story and plenty of room to spread out for the crafts. Our members have access to these Friday sessions, which rotate themes every week. From butterfly painting to creating ant queen drawings, every activity is linked directly to the book we read that day. It is an honest, low-pressure way for kids to explore their imagination in a supportive community of other young readers.
