About Featured
Our summer group camps are designed to turn extra holiday energy into focused strength. We run a structured 6-week program from April to May, where students progress through fundamental stances, Kobudo weapons introduction, and agility drills. Because we keep batches to a manageable group size, our instructors can correct form in real-time, ensuring that every student moves safely whether they are practicing Kata or light-touch sparring.
Building Foundation and Character
Our camp philosophy is simple: we do not just teach martial arts, we instill discipline. The program is specifically built for children starting at age 4, introducing them to the traditional Okinawa Shorin-Ryu style in an environment that is safe and encouraging.
What Students Gain
- Technical Skills: We move beyond basic punches and kicks to include Kata (forms), Kumite (sparring), and an introduction to Kobudo weapons like the Bo staff and Nunchaku.
- Self-Defense & Fitness: Our drills are practical, teaching children how to be aware of their surroundings and handle themselves with confidence.
- Routine and Achievement: By training on weekday mornings, students establish a healthy routine during their break. The program concludes with a certification, and qualifying students take a belt grading exam to mark their progression.
Training Environment
We conduct these camps in a controlled environment using standard EVA foam mats for safety. Whether your child is a complete beginner or looking to sharpen their existing skills, our instructors focus on the individual pace of each student. If you prefer more personalized attention, we also offer private 1-on-1 coaching packages with flexible evening or weekend scheduling, allowing for deeper technical correction and faster advancement.
