Everything starts with the first punch. I teach the youngest students the correct form from day one. Discipline and focus are for everyone, no matter the age. Oss.
This is our dojo. Students learn together, practicing their stances and punches in unison. Repetition is how we build strength and muscle memory.
Here, one of my senior students performs a kata on stage at a summer camp inauguration. This is the result of hard work: power, perfection, and balance.
You will be trained by me and my team of black belt instructors. We are national level competitors and trainers, and we will push you to be your best.
Safety is first. Before you learn to fight, you must learn how to fall. I am showing the students here the proper way to do a forward roll to protect themselves.
Karate is more than just fighting. It is a way of life. We train the body and the mind to be strong, like a shield against the world.
In our camp, we give an introduction to Kobudo, the art of Okinawan weapons. This is a demonstration of basic Nunchaku handling, a tool for improving coordination and focus.
About Featured
You do not need previous experience to start. We focus on repetition and muscle memory, using safety foam nunchakus and foundational drills to build real confidence. Every session is designed to make the body react instinctively, whether it is for basic self-defense or tournament-level kumite.
Karate is a way of living. At our Kudlu dojo, we follow the Okinawan Shorin Ryu Shorin Kai style, which emphasizes that your spirit is your true shield. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn self-defense or an athlete preparing for competitive sparring, our training approach remains the same.
The Core Modules:
- Kihon (Basics): We drill stances, punches, and kicks until your body remembers them without you having to think.
- Kata: You will learn forms that teach focus, balance, and precision. We progress from basic forms like Taikyoku Shodan to more advanced sequences.
- Kobudo: We introduce traditional weapon skills like Nunchaku, utilizing safety foam equipment to ensure proper handling and control.
- Discipline: Every class includes etiquette training. Bowing, counting in Japanese, and maintaining focus are mandatory parts of the curriculum.
We offer intensive 15-day beginner camps and 30-day courses that include grading preparation. Training sessions are held on EVA puzzle mats in an open-air environment. Students train in track pants, or we provide a Gi for the longer courses. We do not believe in sugarcoating the process. It takes sweat and consistency. If you are ready to put in the work, we are ready to teach.
