Our Journey and The Nrityangana Fam

When I started choreographing my sister’s wedding seven years ago, I had no idea it would turn into a full-time passion. Today, we operate out of our own studio in Sector 52, Gurgaon, where we focus on making sure every single person in your family feels comfortable. It is not about perfect steps, but about the vibe and the confidence you feel on the floor.

How It All Started

I was always the one with the Bollywood bug, even back in college. While I was deep into Kathak and our college dance team, I kept choreographing random family functions just for the fun of it. When my brother suggested I take it seriously as a profession, it felt like a huge leap. At that time, wedding choreography was not exactly the mainstream career it is today. But taking that chance was the best decision I ever made.

The Name Behind the Magic

People often ask where 'Nrityangana' came from. It was a moment of serendipity. I was in an ashram in Dehradun, searching for a name that felt Indian and rooted. Before I could even ask my Guruji for a suggestion, he greeted me with, 'Aur beta Nrityangana, aap kaise ho?' (How are you, dancer?). It felt like a sign, and that was it. The name stuck.

Life at the Studio

Fast forward to today, and we have our own space in Sector 52, Gurgaon. It is not just a room with mirrors. We have professional wooden flooring, proper lighting, and backdrops ready for when you nail that routine. It has been a long road from choreographing in living rooms to having a dedicated studio, but we love seeing the community grow.

More Than Just Steps

We also love giving back. Celebrating our 7th anniversary with the kids from the Dream Girl Foundation was one of the highlights of our journey. Whether we are planning a complex sangeet performance or hosting a fun weekend workshop, our goal remains the same: creating a space where everyone, from the shy uncle to the enthu cousin, can just let go and dance.
