Custom Pooja Units and Sacred Home Spaces
Whether you need a dedicated mandir room or a clever corner unit, I design sacred spaces that fit your home. Here are some of my recent custom builds.
About this collection
Fitting a mandir into a modern apartment usually means working with tricky layouts like under-stairs or tight corners. I specialize in maximizing these areas using backlit CNC panels and smart storage drawers, ensuring you get a dedicated sacred space even if your square footage is limited.
Designing a pooja unit is about balance. It needs to look divine, but it also has to handle daily realities like incense ash, diya oil, and cleaning. I typically use marine-grade (BWR/BWP) plywood for the structure so it holds up against moisture, especially if the unit features a stone or granite base.
For the aesthetic, I rely on fluted panels, CNC jaali work, or veneer finishes that match your existing home interiors. Whether you want a traditional look with solid wood or a modern, minimalist unit with profile lighting, I handle the design and the build from scratch.
We start every project with a 3D model to finalize the placement, ensuring the unit doesn't crowd your living area or disrupt traffic flow. Most of my clients in Bangalore ask for storage below the main platform; drawers for pooja samagri are essential to keeping the space clutter-free. If you are renovating or moving into a new flat, we can integrate the mandir into your overall carpentry plan so it looks like a natural part of the home, not an afterthought.
Nikhil Interiors
I’m Nikhil. I’ve been sketching designs since I was 14, and I treat every pooja unit as a piece of functional art that needs to be both durable and clean. I don’t just install these; I build them to fit exactly where you need them, whether that’s a main hall or a small apartment corner.
