Featured Residential and Commercial Interiors
A collection of my recent projects across Bangalore, from custom modular kitchens to full villa renovations. I focus on practical designs that balance aesthetics with everyday durability.
This 3D design shows a master bedroom concept where I've used a backlit stone-finish wall as a statement piece. The goal is to create a luxurious yet calming atmosphere with layered lighting and a mix of textures.
Here is a finished U-shaped modular kitchen, designed for maximum efficiency. The white and grey handleless cabinets create a clean, modern look, while under-cabinet lighting ensures the workspace is always well-lit.
I designed this integrated unit for a child's bedroom, combining a study desk, bookshelves, and full-height wardrobes. The arched cabinet doors and fluted panel details add a soft, modern touch while maximizing storage.
A 3D render of an open-plan living and dining area. This design focuses on creating distinct zones using furniture grouping, a feature wall, and a modern chandelier, while maintaining a cohesive, earthy color palette.
This is a custom-designed sliding wardrobe with floral-printed glass panels. It acts as a piece of art in the bedroom, showing how functional storage can also be a beautiful focal point.
A modern pooja unit I designed to fit into a compact space. The backlit CNC-cut panel with the 'Om' symbol creates a serene focal point, and the white drawers below provide storage for prayer essentials.
This is a completed living room in a Bangalore villa. The double-height windows bring in ample natural light, and I've used a combination of comfortable sofas and accent chairs to create a welcoming space for the family.
About this collection
When you work with me, you do not just get a design concept. You get the person who coordinates the carpentry, manages the site, and ensures the material quality—like the Boiling Water Resistant (BWR) ply or specific acrylic finishes I use—matches the initial 3D render. I prefer managing end-to-end projects because it allows me to control the finishing details, ensuring your modular kitchen, wardrobes, or pooja unit stands up to the daily wear and tear of a busy Bangalore household.
My design philosophy is simple: if it doesn't function well, it isn't good design. Whether I am working on a compact apartment in HSR Layout or a large villa, my process remains the same.
From Sketch to Site
I start every project with 3D modeling. This is not just to show you the colors; it is to map out the layouts, lighting placement, and ergonomics before we pick up a tool. This prevents the common headaches of retrofitting electrical points or realizing a cabinet door hits a wall after it is installed.
The Focus on Materials
I am picky about what goes into your home.
- Kitchens: I use BWR and BWP grade plywood for wet areas to prevent swelling. For finishes, I recommend acrylic or high-gloss laminates because they are scratch-resistant and easier to clean than matte alternatives.
- Carpentry: From sliding wardrobes with soft-close hinges to custom-built TV units, I focus on the hardware. A cabinet is only as good as its hinges and channels; I stick to reliable brands like Hettich and Blum for all moving parts.
Specializations
- Modular Kitchens: Ergonomic U-shaped and parallel layouts.
- Storage Solutions: Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, lofts, and walk-in closets.
- Acoustics: Soundproofing treatments for home theaters and study rooms.
- Pooja Units: Custom traditional or modern units, including CNC-cut panels with backlighting.
I handle the full project, which means I manage the carpenters, the painters, and the site coordination. You get one point of contact. If you have a specific space, like a nook under the stairs, I can help you convert it into a functional storage unit or a dedicated pooja space.
Nikhil Interiors
I am Nikhil, and I have been sketching rooms since I was 14. I do not believe in corporate jargon; I just focus on building spaces that work as well as they look. If you want a designer who is on-site making sure the carpentry fits perfectly, we will get along just fine.
