About From My Workshop to the Runway
I believe that a garment’s true value isn't just in the brand label, but in how it is built. Whether I’m working on a mermaid-style lehenga or a modern reception gown, the process starts with a sketch and ends with hand-stitched details like crystal beadwork and custom padding. I handle everything personally in my studio to ensure that what you get matches the vision we planned together, fitting your budget perfectly.
The Journey of a Custom Outfit
When you come to The Leeela Couture, you aren't just picking something off a rack. You’re starting a collaborative process. We begin with your inspiration—maybe it’s a celebrity look, a photo you found online, or just a specific vibe you want to channel.
Once we finalize the design, I get to work. My studio is where the magic happens. I focus on the structural elements that define a high-end look:
- Fabric Selection: Choosing the right fall for georgette, velvet, or chinon fabrics.
- Construction: Adding hard net (cancan) or canvas for the right silhouette, and proper boning for corset bodices.
- Handwork: Every sequin, crystal, and piece of zari embroidery is applied by hand. This isn't mass-produced; it is slow, intentional fashion.
Why 'Costly' Matters
You might hear me say that my work is 'costly,' not 'expensive.' That’s a crucial distinction. An expensive item is often just about the markup. A 'costly' item—in the way I build it—means you are paying for the actual hours, the quality materials, and the attention to detail required to make something that fits perfectly and lasts.
