About The Urban Solace Book Lovers' Club
Our Book Lovers' Club meets on the second Sunday of every month, but it is not about exams or formal reviews. We pick a book, sit by the lake, and just talk, really talk, about how the story connected with us. If you have been looking for a space where authors and readers sit at the same table, you have found it.
Since 2010, this club has evolved into one of Bangalore’s most consistent literary circles. Unlike strictly academic groups, we focus on the shared experience of reading. You will find us gathering on the second Sunday of every month, usually with a cup of coffee and a view of the Ulsoor Lake boundary.
We have hosted over 50 published authors, but the heart of our club is the members. Whether we are dissecting a classic or diving into contemporary fiction, the goal is simple: to keep the conversation honest. There is no pre-reading test, no ego, and absolutely no cost to join. We believe the best literary insights come from normal readers sharing what a book meant to them personally.
Our curator, Neeraj Sinha, ensures that every session feels like a comfortable chat rather than a lecture. We encourage authors to drop by, and they often do, giving you a chance to ask about the writing process directly. If you are in Bangalore and looking for a space that treats books as the beginning of a conversation rather than the end of a task, drop by our next session.
Urban Solace
We built Urban Solace to be a place where Bangalore’s creative pulse stays steady, and this club is a huge part of that. We are not here to judge your taste, we are here to celebrate it. Come sit, have a coffee, and let's talk about the stories that shaped you.
