About Rock The Stage: Open Mics
Most people worry they aren't ready to perform, but here is the truth: you don’t need to be perfect to take the stage. We host open mics every Sunday in Koramangala, and we’ve seen everything from first-time ukulele strummers to seasoned poets share their work in a safe, judgment-free zone. Our studio setup is simple—good sound, mood lighting, and an audience that’s there to cheer you on, not critique you. Just pick your slot, bring your instrument, or just your voice, and you are in.
Why play at an open mic? It is the fastest way to get over stage fright and connect with other musicians in Bangalore. Our Sunday open mic sessions are designed for real people who want real feedback. Whether you are a solo acoustic guitarist, a stand-up comedian testing new material, or a poet sharing your heart, we provide the platform.
Logistics and Tech
We handle the sound check and stage management so you can focus on your set. Our Koramangala studio is equipped with professional mics, amplifiers, and acoustic treatment to make sure you sound great, even if it is your first time plugging in. We have the space to support solo acts, duos, and even full bands.
The Community
You will see plenty of familiar faces who started as nervous beginners and are now regulars. We often have themed nights—like our Republic Day 'Echoes of Freedom' or candlelit sessions—that add a unique flavor to the standard performance. It is a space where you can experiment, make mistakes, and actually have fun doing it.
Getting Started
You do not need to be a student at our school to perform. We welcome performers from all over the city. It is always a good idea to reach out ahead of time to confirm your slot, especially if you have specific setup needs like a full band or backing tracks. Come for the music, stay for the masti.
My School Of Rock
We started these open mics because we were tired of stuffy music schools where performing felt like taking a test. Here, we just want to get you on stage and show you what it feels like to hold a mic and own the room. It is just us, some good music, and a room full of people ready to cheer you on.
