I blend power yoga flows with functional movement. We build strength, improve mobility, and find balance—whether on the mat or at the gym.

An active recovery day is just as important as a tough workout. Here, I'm moving through some gentle yoga flows and mobility work to promote blood flow, loosen stiff muscles, and speed up recovery.

My Wednesday never looked better. This is a great hip-opening flow that can be done anywhere, even at the gym. It's perfect for releasing tension after a workout or a long day of sitting.

If you're working on your hip mobility, try this movement. Using a foam roller while performing hip circles helps to release the fascia and improve the range of motion in your hip joint.

Yoga teachers can start anywhere. A quick shoulder stretch using gym equipment is a great way to release tension in the upper body, especially after a strength training session.

This mobility challenge requires you to slide down a wall into a full squat and back up. It's a fantastic test of your leg strength, core control, and lower body mobility.

This is the World's Greatest Stretch for a reason. It's a full-body movement that targets everything from your neck and shoulders to your hips and ankles, making it a perfect dynamic warm-up or cool-down.

Looking to strengthen your hip flexors? This side plank variation with leg lifts on a box is an excellent exercise. Strong hip flexors are vital for stability, balance, and athletic performance.

You are not getting any younger, but you can get stronger. This fluid mobility flow helps to build strength and flexibility simultaneously, proving that consistent movement is the key to staying healthy.

Try these two cable leg workouts. Integrating gym workouts with my yoga practice helps me build balanced, functional strength. My friend and I are working on squats and rows here.

My love-hate relationship with backbends continues at the gym. Using the wall for support while practicing forearm wheel helps to build strength and confidence in this challenging pose.

About Yoga & Functional Fitness

You don't need to choose between the mat and the gym. My functional fitness sessions integrate yoga-based mobility with traditional strength training like squats and rows. We use gym equipment—cables, plates, and rollers—specifically to support your yoga practice, ensuring your joints are as strong as they are flexible.
