About our Music Together® program
Curious about how our music and movement classes work? Here is a peek into the curriculum, the structure of our sessions, and how we make early childhood learning feel like play.
Music Together is an award winning international program designed for families to experience the joy of music. It’s a relaxed, playful class with benefits that go far beyond the classroom.
We explore a rich variety of music in every class. Our song collections include different meters, tonalities, languages, and cultural styles, exposing children to the diverse world of music.
My classes are for children from 8 months to 5 years. The mixed age environment is one of the key strengths of the program, as children learn from observing each other and the adults.
Here are some details on the structure of our program. Each term runs for 8 to 10 weeks, with a new song collection each time, and classes are held once a week for 45 minutes.
About About the Music Together Program
You might be wondering if your child needs to 'perform' or sit still, but here, it is quite the opposite. We follow the research-based Music Together® curriculum where the goal is participation, not performance. Whether your little one wants to dance with a scarf, play the drum, or just sit on your lap and listen, that is their way of learning. We believe music is a natural language for children, and our 45-minute sessions are designed to nurture that comfort, not test it.
A Curriculum Based on Growth
Our classes are not just sing-alongs. They are based on the internationally recognized Music Together® curriculum, which is rooted in years of early childhood music research. We know that children learn best through play and by modeling the adults around them, which is why our classes are mixed-age.
Why Mixed-Age Classes?
You will see infants, toddlers, and preschoolers all in the same circle. This is intentional. Younger children absorb so much by observing the older ones, and older children build confidence by taking on leadership roles in the music. It mirrors a family environment, which is where music-making is most natural.
What You Take Home
Music-making should not stop when the class ends. Every student gets a high-quality illustrated songbook and a digital access code for the Music Together app. This helps you continue the play at home, in the car, or during bedtime routines, reinforcing what we have learned in class.
Class Logistics
We hold 45-minute sessions once a week across locations including Juhu, Worli, and Thane. Each 8-10 week term features a brand-new song collection, so there is always something fresh to explore. Whether we are using drums, shakers, or rainbow parachutes, the environment remains relaxed. If your child wants to explore an instrument in their own way, we encourage that. There is no right or wrong way to participate—only the joy of making music together.
Little Miracles
Hi, I am Madhura. Over the last thirteen years, I have realized that music is not just about the notes—it is about the community we build together in our circle. Watching a shy toddler start to hum along or a parent find a moment of calm during a busy week is exactly why I do this.
