Getting to know your newborn photographer

After 15 years and over 1,000 baby sessions, becoming an Amma myself completely changed my perspective on newborn photography. I used to focus purely on the art, but now I deeply understand that urge to freeze every tiny detail—those yawns, the way they curl their tiny feet, and the quiet joy of those first few weeks.

I get asked all the time about the difference between a posed studio session and a lifestyle shoot. My studio in Majiwada is a controlled, cozy space perfect for those classic, swaddled portraits where we really focus on the baby's tiny features. But my lifestyle sessions are about something else entirely. They are about the raw connection between you, your partner, and your baby. Whether we are in your nursery or just cuddling on your bed, these sessions are less about 'perfect' and more about 'real.'

When you come into my studio or invite me into your home, you aren't just getting a photographer. You're getting someone who knows how to handle a fussy baby, how to soothe a nervous parent, and how to create a calm space where everyone feels relaxed. My approach is always baby-led. If your little one needs to feed or just wants a cuddle, we stop. We go at their pace, not the clock's. That’s how we get those natural smiles and authentic moments that you’ll look back on for the rest of your life. Every session is handled with the same care I would give to my own son, Caden.
