Future Forward: Coworking & Community Office Concepts
Designing this 24,000 sq. ft. workspace in Vikhroli taught me that community needs a physical heartbeat. This concept explores how open layouts and defined zones foster genuine connection in a professional setting.

About Future Forward: Concepts for Coworking & Community
The key to this project was moving away from standard, cold office pods. We designed the circular sofa with a central planter as a magnet for conversation, not just another piece of furniture. It is about creating moments where people actually want to stop and talk, rather than just pass by.
When designing this 24,000 sq. ft. space in Vikhroli, my goal was to avoid the sterile atmosphere often found in large-scale commercial offices. We focused on creating zones of intent—areas that dictate how a person feels and behaves.
The reception area serves as the anchor. Instead of a high-gloss desk, we used reclaimed wood and metal to set a grounding, warm tone from the moment someone enters. This extends into the breakout areas, where we integrated circular sofa seating with central planters. This is a deliberate choice: by putting nature at the center of the seating, we encourage people to pause, breathe, and actually connect.
We approached the meeting rooms with a similar philosophy. Rather than generic glass boxes, we used specific color palettes—soothing mint greens and deep blues—to signal the purpose of each room. Acoustic panels were not just added as an afterthought; they are part of the wall design, using curved patterns that add texture while ensuring the silence needed for focused work.
For companies in Mumbai looking to move beyond standard floor plates, the focus should be on this interplay of light, acoustics, and furniture. Whether you need a 5,000 sq. ft. tech office or a sprawling 25,000 sq. ft. coworking hub, the process remains the same: we study how your team moves, then build the space around those habits. My team and I handle the technical drawings, MEP coordination, and material selection, ensuring that the final build is as functional as it is inviting.
