Thalia Technologies: A Human-Centric Office Design
A 5,000 sq. ft. workspace designed to balance focused productivity with collaborative energy, right here in Dadar.

A closer look at the reception area, where the warm tones of the herringbone wood floor meet the soft texture of the waiting bench. The design balances professionalism with a sense of warmth and comfort.
The main workstation area is designed as an open plan to maximize natural light and encourage fluid movement. The exposed ceiling with clean, linear lighting adds an industrial touch while keeping the space feel airy and expansive.
A sense of motion through the open-plan office. The layout is intentionally straightforward, allowing for easy navigation and clear sightlines, which contributes to a feeling of energy and collaboration.
Greenery is a key element in this workspace, used here as a natural divider that adds life and color. These large planter boxes help define zones without closing off the space, maintaining the office's open and breathable feel.
From this angle, you can see the collaboration zone framed in the background, a signature element of the office. The workstations are kept clean and uniform to create a sense of order and focus.

This central breakout area is one of my favorite spots in the office. It features a mix of seating, including a comfortable sofa and accent chair, perfect for informal meetings or a quiet break.

About Thalia Technologies: A Workspace in Action
We lined the office walls with private meeting zones, which keeps the floor center free for collaboration. This layout ensures that natural light from the windows reaches every desk, removing the need for harsh artificial overhead lighting throughout the day.
The Thalia Technologies project required a deep understanding of how a tech team functions. In Dadar, where space is at a premium, we chose not to clutter the 5,000 sq. ft. floor. Instead, we used a mix of concrete and natural wood to ground the environment. The greenery acts as a living divider, softening the transition between the noisy collaborative areas and the silent, focused spots.
Our approach to commercial interior architecture focuses on movement. We designed the circulation paths to be fluid, so team members can walk from the reception to the breakout zones without feeling confined. Whether it is a quick chat at the high table or an hour of deep work in a pod, the design supports the task at hand. By planning for how people actually inhabit the space, we ensure the office remains a productive environment from morning until the last meeting ends.

My team at MJ Architects and I look at office design as a way to support the rhythm of a work day. For this Dadar office, we moved away from rigid structures to create a space that feels as natural as it is professional.
