Upcycled Decor: Hand-Painted Vinyl, Trays, and Vintage Restoration
I believe old objects hold stories waiting for a new chapter. From painted vinyl records to reimagined vintage treasures, I turn everyday items into art that adds a warm, personal touch to your home.
A collection of my upcycled art pieces. You can see a hand-painted tray with a resin finish, a decorative plate made from a vinyl record, and various coasters, all given a new artistic life.

These are the old vinyl record covers that inspire my upcycled art. I love the nostalgia and history they carry, which I try to honor when I transform the records themselves into new creations.

About Upcycled Decor: From Vinyl & Umbrellas to Art
Every piece begins with a simple question: what story is this object trying to tell? Whether it is a worn-out vinyl record or a faded umbrella, I prepare the surface with careful priming before hand-painting intricate patterns or floral motifs. Once the design is set, I seal it with a food-safe resin or durable varnish to make sure it not only looks beautiful but stands up to daily use in your home.
Giving Old Objects a Second Chance
I see value in the things others might call junk. That dusty tea box in your attic or the old vinyl record gathering shelf-space? They carry memories that deserve to be seen. My approach to upcycled decor is about blending the object's original soul with a fresh, artistic layer.
My Process
When you hand over an item for restoration or upcycling, I start by sitting with it. Understanding the texture and history of the base material is crucial before I reach for my brushes.
- Surface Prep: I ensure every item is cleaned and gesso-primed so the paint adheres properly.
- Hand-Painting: Using specialized acrylics, I apply designs ranging from traditional Ganjifa art to modern florals, depending on the object's character.
- Finishing: For functional decor like trays or coasters, I use a high-gloss, food-safe resin coating. This creates a durable, glass-like finish that protects the art from spills and daily handling.
Why Choose Upcycled Decor?
Choosing to restore rather than replace isn't just about sustainability; it's about owning a piece that no one else has. If you have a specific item you love but feels tired, bring it to my studio in Noida. We can discuss whether it needs a subtle highlight of metallic paint or a complete transformation into a vibrant, modern wall piece. I am happy to work with both client-provided sentimental items and vintage objects I have sourced myself.
