Upcycled & Reimagined Decor
I believe in giving everyday items a second chance. From old helmets to glass bottles, I use paint and a bit of heart to turn your discarded objects into functional art pieces.
Why have a boring helmet? I upcycled my old, scratched helmet into a 'chalti firti painting' (a moving painting), proving that even safety gear can be a style statement.
From a discarded soda bottle to a piece of art. This video shows the transformation of a simple glass bottle into a decorative piece covered in colorful Indian folk art motifs.
Let's upcycle these plain plastic supplement containers. Watch as my team member turns them into charming, hand-painted storage jars for the kitchen.
My mom, the original artist of The Yellow Brush, painting her signature chrysanthemums on an old wine bottle. Her work is always so inspiring.
A quick time-lapse of me painting a custom lampshade for a friend. I love turning plain objects into personalized gifts.
This video promotes our online bottle painting workshop, showing a finished bottle with a vibrant flamingo design that you can learn to paint yourself.
A candid video of me working on the tropical-themed chest of drawers. It's a reminder that running a small business means wearing every hat, including furniture painter.
Another lampshade makeover. A client gave us her old lampshade, and we gave it a new life with a tropical toucan design.
This lampshade was upcycled with a lush, tropical jungle scene featuring a toucan. It's amazing how a little paint can completely change an object.
A bottle I'm very proud of, featuring a woman in a Korean-inspired style. It shows how you can turn a simple bottle into an elegant piece of decor.
About Upcycled & Reimagined: Decor with a Story
Upcycling isn't just about painting over an old item. I spend time sanding, priming, and sealing every piece with industrial-grade varnish to make sure your helmet, tray, or bottle handles daily use without fading. Send me a photo of what you want to transform, and we will chat about the design that fits your space.
When you choose to upcycle, you aren't just buying decor—you're saving something from the bin and giving it a new purpose. My process is hands-on from start to finish. I don't just slap a design on an old surface. I prep everything properly. That means deep cleaning, sanding, and applying primer to make sure the acrylics actually stick.
For high-use items like helmets or trays, I use industrial-grade varnish. It keeps the colors vibrant and makes the surface water and scratch-resistant. Whether it's a 'chalti firti painting' (moving painting) for your helmet or turning a plain supplement jar into a kitchen storage piece, I focus on making it functional art.
Have an old chest of drawers that lost its charm? Or a collection of glass bottles gathering dust? Tell me your story. We will decide on a theme—floral, tropical, or something personal like a portrait—and I will work my yellow brush magic on it. Since every object is different, I always chat with you first to understand the material and the best way to paint it.
The Yellow Brush
I'm Tanvi, and this is The Yellow Brush. It started with a call to Papa for advice and a lot of paint-splattered days in my studio. I believe every object has a story, and I'm just here to give it a colorful new chapter.
