Custom Storytelling & Portrait Mehendi
I turn your personal milestones into henna art. Whether it is a portrait of your partner, your wedding date, or a city skyline that means something to you, I create detailed mehendi designs in Bangalore that tell your unique story.
I love creating storytelling mehendi like this, which includes portraits, a city skyline, mountains, and other personal symbols for the bride.
Here you can see how I transform a reference photo into a detailed mehendi portrait, capturing the likeness of the bride and groom.

This traditional Indian bridal band includes an elephant motif, a symbol of good luck and prosperity, perfect for a wedding.
I can incorporate names of loved ones into the mehendi design, making it a beautiful and personal tribute.
A creative way to include initials in your mehendi, with the letters 'V', 'N', 'A', and 'Y' hidden within the finger design.
About this collection
When you request a portrait or a specific story element, please share clear reference photos with me at least one week before your event. Because I freehand these intricate details, I need this time to plan the layout and ensure the shading fits your arm proportions perfectly.
My storytelling mehendi goes beyond traditional patterns. It is about capturing your specific memories on your hands. I can include bride and groom portraits, initials, significant dates, or even skylines of cities that are special to you, like London or Paris.
Process and Timeline Because this style requires high precision, it is a time-intensive process. A full storytelling bridal design usually takes between 6 to 8 hours. I do not use stencils. Every line, shading effect, and portrait detail is drawn freehand with my fresh, homemade organic henna.
What You Need to Know
- Custom Elements: I can incorporate anything from Ganesh motifs and elephants to modern elements like city landmarks. If you have a Pinterest reference or a specific idea, send it over.
- Material Quality: I use only 100% natural henna cones made in-house. This is crucial for the dark, long-lasting stain that highlights fine details like portraits and micro-grids.
- Preparation: If you want portrait mehendi, ensure the photos you send are high-resolution and clearly show facial features. This helps me capture the likeness accurately on your skin.
- Scope: I offer these designs for both bridal and non-bridal clients. While often chosen by brides for the main wedding function, these customized elements also make for great engagement or anniversary designs.
Azra Mehendi
I am Azra, and I enjoy turning your personal memories into henna art. I do not believe in standard designs; your bridal mehendi should tell your specific story, whether that is a portrait of your partner or a skyline from your favourite city.
