About Personalized Storytelling
When we plan your bridal henna, I do not just sketch random patterns. I ask for the details that matter to you—a shared hobby, your wedding date, or even portraits of your family deities. I sketch these out first to ensure the placement feels natural within the traditional intricate borders, so the final design feels like it truly belongs to your story.
Every bride wants her mehendi to be special, but 'special' looks different for everyone. Some brides want a minimalist approach with just their wedding date hidden in a mandala, while others want a full-length, bicep-to-fingertip canvas that narrates how they met. This is where we collaborate.
The Process Behind the Design
Custom storytelling mehendi is a collaborative process. We typically start by discussing the key elements you want to include—whether it is a doli motif, a Shiva-Parvati portrait, or initials. Because this is a high-density style, I plan the placement of these figures carefully so they are not crowded by the surrounding traditional floral or geometric patterns.
Why Organic Matters
For these long sessions, which can take 5 to 6 hours for elaborate storytelling designs, the quality of the henna is non-negotiable. I mix my own organic henna paste, soaking it to ensure mature dye release. This gives you that rich, dark stain that is essential for a grand bridal look, and importantly, it is safe on your skin even with prolonged application.
Practical Details
If you have a specific reference image you love, I am happy to recreate it or adapt it to better suit your personality. For portraits or specific symbols, I recommend booking a consultation at least a week before your wedding so we can finalize the layout. Whether you are in Koramangala or Whitefield, I travel across Bangalore to ensure your mehendi is ready for your big day.
